Matt Domo helps leaders understand what AI changes about their organizations and what it leaves untouched. His view comes from building the technology, not observing it. He served as GM of Amazon SimpleDB, AWS’s first database service, in the cloud’s formative years, which gives him a builder’s read on where the current wave of AI is real and where it is hype.

Today he advises executives on closing the gap between what they invest in AI and what they get back from it, drawing on a proprietary assessment of more than 200 organizations that measures whether these tools are producing results. The finding that runs through his work is that the technology only pays off when it makes the people inside a company better off, not when it is deployed over their heads. That argument is the heart of his bestselling book Everybody Wins, which traces the shift from an economy organized around individual attention toward one where organizations succeed by lifting everyone they touch, customers, employees, communities, and leaders alike.

As CEO of FifthVantage and Chairman of the Space Force Association, he speaks widely to Fortune 500 leadership teams, boards, and international institutions, including the United Nations on leadership in the age of AI. His work centers on a practical question leaders keep asking: how do you move fast on AI and emerging technology, drive real transformation, and still bring your people with you?

Matt lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two sons. He is a devoted Ohio State football fan, a serious barbecue enthusiast, and rarely without music playing.
